Senior military official: Hamas may surprise and increase rocket fire range

A senior military official said Wednesday that Hamas is responsible for most of the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. According to him the pressure on Hamas is growing and therefore the organization feels the need to surprise Israel in the coming days in terms of rocket range or terrorist incidents.
The official also referred to IDF calls on the Palestinians residents in the northern part of the Strip to evacuate from their homes, but it is not yet clear how many of them actually evacuated. Our experience of the past few days shows that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been choosing life over Hamas.
