Qatari emir visits Turkey to discuss Gaza crisis with Erdoğan, Gül

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived in turkey for a quick visit in which he met with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan and President Abdullah Gül to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.

A Turkish official said to newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that the meeting dealt with the need to conduct an effective move to end the crisis after the Egyptian offer failed. The official said that "the Egyptian offer was doomed to fail because it was unsuccessful in reaching the root of the problem".
