Palestinian sources: Hamas yet to respond to Abbas ceasefire offer

Palestinian officials told Asharq Al-Awsat that "Hamas has yet to respond to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas offer for an immediate ceasefire, but promised to examine it. Hamas is conducting a series of consultations in order to establish a firm position regarding the Palestinian Authority new plan".
Having said that, a senior Hamas official told Al-Hayat newspaper that they estimate that Israel "will soon initiate a ceasefire agreement that will meet the resistance requirements".
