Protests against Israeli Gaza operation erupt across Jordan
Thousands of people began protesting in a number of cities across Jordan according to reports from Jordanese media. The main protest began in Amman in front of the Grand Husseini Mosque. The gatherings are meant to show support and solidarity with Gaza residents and condemn the Israeli operation in the Strip.
Protesters in Amman yelled chants against the silence of Arab governments and demanded that the Israeli embassy in Amman be closed and the ambassador expelled.
