Report: Hamas likely to agree to John Kerry's ceasefire plan
A Saturday report in Asharq Al-Awsat suggested that Hamas may be inclined to accept a ceasefire proposal layed out by US Secretary of State John Kerry out of the desire to allow the people of Gaza to rest during the end of Ramadan, or Eid al-Fitr.
However, senior officials told the newspaper that Hamas is interested in understanding the specifics of the guarantees to lift the siege of Gaza including the time needed to do so.
