US official: Kerry document was only a draft meant for comments, Israeli reports were 'inaccurate'
After heavy criticism in Israel against US Secretary of State John Kerry Sunday for a document which he reportedly presented as a base for the beginning of ceasefire talks, a senior American source said that reports regarding the document were "inaccurate" and "insulting".
"The document presented by Kerry was only a draft formulated during conversations with some of the involved parties, and it was presented in order to recieve comments. This wasn't 'the American proposal' but part of a continuing discussion on a ceasefire," stressed the American source.
