Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff called Israel's offensive in Gaza a "massacre" and "disproportionate" on Monday.
"What is happening in Gaza is a dangerous thing. I do not think it's a genocide, but I think it's a massacre (...) It is a disproportionate share," said the president during a debate organized by the newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo.
Brazilian diplomacy had already condemned Israel's "disproportionate use" of force last week and recalled its ambassador to Tel Aviv for consultations.
