US senate approves decision to support Israel's right to defend itself
The American senate passed a resolution unanimously supporting Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas. The decision condemns United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to investigate Israel's operations in Gaza.
"I have always supported the UN, but I felt disgusted by what I have witnessed," US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said.
"We object to any attempt to force a ceasefire on Israel," Republican Leader Mitch McConnell added.
