2 Palestinians break into West Bank home, woman lightly hurt

Police suspect incident was criminally-motivated rather than nationalistic; IDF, police search for suspects.

Two Palestinian militants infiltrated the Neveh Tzuf (Halamish) settlement in the West Bank on Sunday and broke into an apartment where a woman was lightly wounded in the ensuing struggle.

The Palestinians escaped and the police began extensive searches in the area to apprehend the suspects.

It was unclear as investigations began whether the attack had a criminal or nationalistic motive.

Police's Judea and Samaria District spokesman said that "near 3:27pm, a call was received from a resident of Neveh Tzuf-Halamish about two people who entered her home, likely Palestinians. While escaping them, the woman was lightly bruised from an encounter with the burglars.

"Army and police forces are searching the settlement and the area around it for the suspects. The incident was most likely criminal, but a nationalistic motive is also being examined."
