Chinese FM: Israeli's, Palestinians should reach immediate ceasefire
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on Israel Sunday to end its offensive in Gaza and lift the blockade on the Palestinian enclave which has been in effect since 2006.
Mr. Wang was speaking at a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to Cairo, where discussions were held to reach a truce in the Gaza Strip.
"Both sides, the Israelis and Palestinians should immediately and completely cease fire, including air raids, ground operations and the rocket fire, in order to save people and peace in the region," said Chief Chinese diplomacy.
