Several hundred people gathered Sunday in Paris to advocate peace and brotherhood as the Israeli offensive continued in Gaza, responding to the call of a student on Facebook, exasperated by the "rise of hatred."
"I wanted to show all the pessimistic people that we could be united despite our differences," said the student organizer of the rally Celena Azouaoui (18). The protest took place at a venue close to the Louvre where Azouaoui expressed "emotion" of the scale mobilization.
Celena had created a Facebook page first bringing his friends. Three thousand people had previously announced that they would take part in the rally.
