Security services bust diamond smuggling ring at Ben Gurion Airport

Security services at Ben Gurion Airport working with the Customs and Tax Authorities, uncovered a diamond smuggling network from South Africa. Investigations revealed that several suspects were involved in dozens of smuggling operations in recent years. A pilot is among those suspected of involvement, who was allegedly used to pass border control at the airport in South Africa.
The suspects are also accused of money laundering amounts estimated at tens of millions of shekels.
