Lapid: Trend of strained Israel-US ties mustn't be allowed to continue
Finance Minister Yair Lapid cautioned Thursday against allowing Israel's ties with the US to continue deteriorating, calling it "a worrying trend that mustn't be allowed to continue."
"The ties with the US are strategic," he told reporters outside his home. "I talked to Secretary of State Kerry and Senator Harry Reid and thanked them for the aid. Sometimes you have to say 'thank you' and maintain a good friendship with the US."
