Hamas: Extension of ceasefire due to breakthrough in negotiations

Hamas official said Thursday that extending the ceasefire in five days took place in the last minute following a chance of a breakthrough in the negotiations.

According to the official, there are encouraging initial indications that will hopefully mature into a defined agreement.

"The version offered by the Egyptians in the last couple of days could lead directly to what we define as a breakthrough that will answer the Palestinians' demands.
