Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed indirect negotiations currently underway in Cairo. "We are in the midst of a political and military offensive," Netanyahu said at the beginning of the government's weekly Cabinet meeting.
"The delegation to Cairo is working under clear instructions to secure Israel's needs," the prime minister said, adding that "only if (these needs) are met will we reach an agreement.
"We are strong and determined people. If Hamas thinks it will compensate for its military loss through a political achievement, it is wrong. As long as aggressions continue, Hamas will continue to suffer heavy damage."
