Arab League to discuss possible conference on protecting Palestinian civilians
The Arab League sent a ministerial delegation to Switzerland Tuesday, to discuss the possibility of holding a conference on the protection of civilians in the Palestinian territories.
The departure of the delegation came as hostilities threatened to resume between Hamas and Israel with Palestinian rocket attacks and retaliatory strikes while a ceasefire truce was still active.
According to the Kuwaiti KUNA, the delegation is led by the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, whose country hosts the presidency of the Arab League.
