Abbas arrives to Qatar for discussions on Gaza

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas began a visit to Doha Wednesday, where he plans to take part in consultations on the situation in Gaza, where hostilities resumed between Israelis and Palestinians.
The official Qatar News Agency reported, without giving details, that Abbas had arrived, according to Palestinian ambassador to Qatar Munir Ghannam, who will hold talks with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
Abbas must also consult with the exiled leader of the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, Khaled Mashal.
His visit was scheduled before the cease-fire in Gaza collapsed.
