Canadian parliament member quit opposition due to pro Israeli position

Canadian parliament member announced her resignation from NDP party claiming its leader presents a pro-Israeli stance regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip. Tunisian-Canadian Sana Hassainia, made it clear she will still hold her chair in the parliament as an independent representative.


NDP said that the split was preceded by other differences between the parliament member and the party's leader and that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was just an excuse.
