Pro-Hamas protesters clash with Palestinian security forces in the West Bank
Hundreds of pro-Hamas residents of Hebron took to the streets Friday against Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip. The protestors tried to the area of Bab Zawiya to confront IDF soldiers, but Palestinian security forces blocked their path and fired tear gas into the crowd.
Demonstrators responded to efforts to disperse the crowd by throwing rocks and firing fireworks at security forces. Witnesses claimed that some of the protestors were wounded in the clashes. Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum, condemned the actions of the security forces and called them shameful and disrespectfully serving Israel's interests.
