Islamic Jihad agrees to new truce offer
Palestinian sources said overnight that the Palestinian factions agreed to the Egyptian initiative of an unlimited time ceasefire and they are now waiting for an answer from the Israeli side, reported the Paletinian news agency "Maan".
Islamic Jihad second-in-command Ziad Nahala and senior member Khaled al-Batch said the coming hours will determine whether a ceasefire agreement has been achieved.
At the same time, Hamas senior official Izzat al-Rishq said "there is nothing new regarding a ceasefire. We will report on any new developments".
