US Coast Guard ship fires warning shot at Iranian boat
Washington – A United States Coast Guard ship has clashed Tuesday with Iranian fishing boat in the Persian Gulf and its crew made a warning shot, the Pentagon said.
The captain of the American ship Monomoy sent a team in a small inflatable boat to approach an Iranian dhow during a routine operation.
The American team found two guns aboard the Iranian ship, one of which was pointed at them, according to the United States Department of Defense.
