A policeman suffered a light injury to his head on Monday morning from a stone thrown at him during protests in the East Jerusalem neighborhood Jabel Mukaber over parents' displeasure with a school's headmistress.

Parents prevented students of entering the school and declared a strike. A police force that arrived at the scene was attacked with stones being thrown by several dozens of masked men.

Police helped the headmistress leave the premises and dispersed the rioters.
