Egypt condemns Israeli claim of West Bank land

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement Monday denouncing the Israeli government's decision to appropriate a large swath of land inside the West Bank. The statement said: "This is not a positive step. It contradicts international laws and will have a negative impact on the peace process."
