Syrian sources: Qatar paid $20 million for release of Fijian peacekeepers
Syrian opposition sources said that "Qatar paid a ransom of $20 million in exchange for the release of the 45 Fijian UN peacekeepers" that were held captive by militants from the Nusra Front in Syria, the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported.
