2 killed in car crash after one drove against traffic escaping police
Two people were killed overnight Monday in a car crash on Highway 5 near the Glilot Interchange.
One of the drivers, suspected of stealing a Mercedes car from Herzliya Pituah, was fleeing the police. The suspect arrived at a roadblock, turned around and drove against traffic until he crashed into a car that was coming towards him.
Magen David Adom paramedics declared the two drivers dead on the scene. Police opened an investigation.
