Abbas to Herzog: I will lead unilateral move to establish statehood

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog for the first diplomatic meeting between Abbas and Israeli officials since Operation Protective Edge was launched. The two met at the Muqata in Ramallah.

Abbas expressed his disappointment from the lack of interest to establish a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders and said he will lead a unilateral move to establish a Palestinian state.
