France to provide air support in Iraq
French President Francois Hollande says he's agreed to Iraq's request for air support against Islamic State fighters who've captured swathes of the country.
Hollande says France will not put troops on the ground, and that the French air strikes would only target forces in Iraq -- not Syria.
Hollande was speaking during a twice-yearly press conference Thursday.
