Egypt militants behead man in restive Sinai
Egyptian security officials say an al-Qaeda-inspired militant group has beheaded a man in the restive Sinai Peninsula for allegedly conspiring with Israel.
The officials said Friday that Ansar Beit al-Maqdis dumped the beheaded body on the road in the town of Sheikh Zuweyid, and that the group holds several other men for the same reason. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.
