Education Ministry: Rise in number of students matriculating
The Education Ministry has published the data for last school's years matriculation rate, revealing the largest spike in the number of students to pass their exams successfully.
According to the ministry's data, the number of those matriculating rose by 3.6%, from 49.8% to 53.4%. This is the largest rise recorded since the ministry began recording matriculation levels some 20 years ago.
In the Jewish sector (without the Haredi population), the rise was even more pronounced, increasing by 5.6% to 72.2%.
