WATCH: Buzzfeed staff try Jewish food for first time
Popular website lets its team taste gefilte fish, chopped liver and kugel, among other things - with mixed results.
Hot on the heels of its popular video of Irish people tasting American fast foods for the first time, Buzzfeed has given some of its staff a new challenge – trying traditional Jewish food.
On the menu was gefilte fish ("a cold sausage with sour paste on the top"); kugel ("it wants to be macaroni and cheese and it also wants to be a cake"); chopped liver ("it's a little gross"); chicken matzo ball soup ("the gateway drug to Jewish food"); rugelach ("get it, Jewish grandmas"); and Manischewitz wine ("I feel like I could drink a whole bottle of this").
And, as you can see from the video below, the results were, overall, quite mixed.
