Jerusalem District Police Commander announces resignation

Jerusalem District Police Commander Major- General Yossi Parienti, 48, announced Sunday he would be leaving his position for personal reasons.
Ending speculation about a possible run at the police commissioner position, Parienti said he had no intention of replacing Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino.
It is the second suprize resignation to hit the police in recent weeks: Major- General Bruno Stein, who headed the police's central unit, announced his resignation on September 12th.
