Report: IS leader flee to northern Iraq following attacks in Syria

An Iraqi intelligence source told Iraqi media that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi arrived yesterday from the city of Raqqa in north-east Syria to Nineveh Province in northern Iraq along with the organization's top commanders.

 

According to the source, al-Baghdadi and his fellow commanders escaped Syria following US airstrikes against the organization in the area.
