Palestinians: Israeli occupation must end in 2016
The Palestinians are asking the UN Security Council to set a deadline of November 2016 for an Israeli withdrawal from all Palestinian territory occupied since 1967 including East Jerusalem.
A draft resolution circulated to council members and obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press also calls for "a just resolution" of the status of Jerusalem as the capital of two states, and the Palestinian refugee problem.
