Abbas hopes other countries follow Sweden and recognize Palestine
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday he hoped other countries followed Sweden's lead and recognize Palestine.
He went on to say that "the issue of recognizing the Palestinian state was on the agenda of many countries in the world, mostly European countries, and we hope they take that brave step as well."
