Zehava Galon: 'Public needs finance minister with backbone'
Meretz Chairwoman Zehava Galon addressed Finance Minister Yair Lapid's statements regarding the cost of living protest and said that his disgraceful economic policy left Israel's middle class and young people out of the budget.
"Lapid hasn't internalized yet that the public wrath is directed at his and at the shameful financial policy he is leading. The public doesn't need his empathy, but a finance minister with a backbone that will stand up against the security establishment, tycoons and giant corporations," Galon said.
"While Lapid sheds crocodile tears for the cost of leaving and concern for the young people, he submits a budget that totally abandons Israeli young layer of society," Galon added.
