Israel restricts access to the Temple Mount fearing 'disorder'
Israeli police announced that only Palestinians aged over 50 would be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem's Old City this Friday amid rising tensions and clashes earlier this week.
"In wake of information about Arab youths intent to cause disturbances to public order at the end of Friday prayers it was decided to limit access to the complex,' Police spokesperson Luba Samri said.
This limitation, which does not apply to women, applies to Palestinians in East Jerusalem and Israeli Arabs.
