More than half a million Israelis so far have visited the country's nature reserves and parks during Sukkot, which began on Wednesday evening.
A record number of visitors was reported at the national parks in Caesarea, Ein Hemed, Tzipori, Mamsheet and Apollonia. A similar record high was reported at nature reserves with water attractions, such as Tel Dan, Banias and Snir.
The National Parks Authority is asking the public to check weather reports before setting out on a trip in southern Israel in the coming days, due to fears of storms and flooding.
