Arkia pilots take 'sick' days, causing delays in internal flights during holiday

A day after three of its pilots announced they were 'sick', Arkia's pilots announced a strike Sunday, grounding the airliner's ART and Gulfstream planes, which run the line to Eilat.
The strike comes during the holiday season, which many Israelis use to travel to the southern resort town. The pilots are demanding Arika allow them to join a collective agreement previously reached by their union but was restricted to international pilots.
