Syria: IS seized 'disused' fighter jet, we've destroyed two of them
Syrian Information Minister Omran Ahed al-Zoubi on Wednesday confirmed reports that Islamic State fighters seized three Syrian Army fighter jets.
Zoubi said these were old, out of use jets the jihadists used for training at the Al-Jarrah military airport east of Aleppo. Iraqi pilots reportedly trained the Islamic State fighters.
Zoubi claimed, however, that the Syrian army has already destroyed two of these jets on the runway and that searches for the third jet are ongoing.
