Security forces bolster presence in Jerusalem ahead of Friday prayers

With violence raging in the city, police and rescue personnel have prepared for a level of high alert in Jerusalem ahead of the weekend and Friday prayers.

Large forces will be present Friday morning in the Old City and pressure points such as Issawiya, French Hill and Silwan. The entrance to the Temple Mount will be restricted to worshipers aged 40 and above only.

Police are also preparing for the possibility that Jews will try to take revenge against Arabs following the attack at Ammunition Hill train station that killed a three-month-old baby.
