Egypt steps up security activity in Sinai

The Egyptian army has begun to bolster its forces in Sinai as part of a broad assault on terrorist targets in the area.

A senior military source says that five terrorists have been killed in an air strike in the Sheikh Zowaiid region of northern Sinai. A police source aslo said that more than 50 suspects have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist act on Friday that killed more than 30 security personnel.
