Lapid condemns settlement construction
Finance Minister Yair Lapid commented on Prime Minister Netanyahu' plan to build over a thousand new settlements units, saying "I will not lend my hand to the transfer of funds that were intended for Kiryat Shmona and Be'er Sheva (cities in Israel's periphery), to isolated outposts like Tapuah or Yitzhar for the building of roads, a move which will bring damage to Israel."
Lapid said that though he "supports building in Jerusalem and improving infrastructure in settlement blocs, but everything has a time and a place."
