Death toll of bombing aboard Egyptian train rises to four

CAIRO - A bomb blast aboard an Egyptian train traveling in the Nile Delta north of Cairo late Wednesday night has killed four people and wounded nine, Egyptian security officials said.

The blast took place shortly before midnight on Wednesday and that the four killed included two policemen.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for planting the bomb, but the attack bore the hallmarks of Islamic militants fighting the government of President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, a general-turned-politician who took office in June, nearly a year after he led the military ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.
