Report: Obama wrote Khamenei secret letter about Islamic State
US President Barack Obama wrote Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei a secret letter detailing the nations' mutual interest in fighting the Islamic State group, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
According to the report, which cited people briefed on the correspondence, the letter was sent secretly in the middle of last month.
