President Rivlin visits terror victim's family

President Reuven Rivlin visited Beit Jann in the Galilee Friday to pay his condolences to the family of Border Police Superintendent Jadan Assad, murdered in the terror attack in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

He gave his condolences to the victim's parents, telling them that their family was "an inseparable part of the Israeli experience."

Commenting on the situation in Jerusalem, he said: "We are not at war with Islam, but with those who do not accept our existence here. This is not a religious war, but rather a struggle for the right of all of us to live together in this land.”

The President also met with Jadan’s widow, held her hand, and assured her the entire country stands with her, and shares in her loss.
