Mosquitoes containing West Nile Virus found near Eilat
Mosquitoes containing the West Nile Virus were found near Eilat in southern Israel, near the border with Jordan and close to the groves of Kibbutz Eilot. The findings were identified during a routine examination of the Environmental Protection Agency who updated authorities in the region.
The office instructed to expand the scope of surveillance and control of mosquitoes in the area in order to minimize the chance of infection of the virus by residents in the region.
