King Abdullah to Abbas: Israeli provocations in Jerusalem unnacceptable
King Abdullah II of Jordan spoke with President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday in Amman and said, "Israel's return to provocative measures in Jerusalem is unnacceptable. Abdullah warned that "the continuation of settlement building will destroy all possibilities to reviving the peace process.
Abbas thanked the Jordanian president for Jordan's efforts "to protect the al-Aqsa mosque from Israeli attacks. King Abdullah and Abbas are scheduled to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is visiting on Amman, on Thursday.
