Shin Bet statement: We didn't issue a warning about July war with Hamas

The Israel Security Agency issued a clarification regarding the claim that the organization warned IDF in advance of Hamas's preparations for Operation Protective Edge, stating, "From the end of April, the Shin Bet warned that Hamas intended to carry out a large-scale terror attack. At no point did the Shin Bet claim that they passed on a warning about the a war with Hamas in July."

The statement was issued following the scathing letter sent by Chief of Staff Benny Gantz to the prime miister, in which he denied that there had been any warning.
