German Foreign Minister: Israel does not have to worry about meeting of EU foreign ministers
"Israel does not have to worry about the meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union (on Monday). We will meet and show our hope that we will be able to bring peace. And despite the tensions that occurred in the past few weeks – we all have hope that there will not be an escalation of violence," said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier during a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Steinmeier added that during his visit to Ramallah he saw that the Palestinians were "very stressed and worried" from the possibility of a return to the situation that occurred during Operation Protective Edge.
