Kassig's parents: Waiting for confirmation of authenticity on murder of son

The parents of Peter Kassig, the American aid worker who was allegedly executed in a new video released by the Islamic State group on Sunday, said they were waiting for an official confirmation regarding the reliability of the video and the murder of their son.

"We are aware of the news reports being circulated about our treasured son and are waiting for confirmation from the government as to the authenticity of these reports," said Ed and Paula Kassig.
